A donation module that makes it possible to make one time or periodic payments of any amount, without the need to purchase a product at the same time.
This kind of module is extremely useful for churches and non-profit organizations but would equally suit a site that needs to take payments for off-site products or memberships.
When clicking on the donation banner on the left column, the visitor is taken to a screen where he can enter the amount he would like to donate and specify the donation frequency for periodic donations.
The shopping cart notices the difference between a donation and a regular product and makes the correct display in the top right cart box as well as in the main shopping cart box in the center.
Without proceeding to shipping checkout, the visitor enters his payment info on the payment screen and gets to the confirmation page which again shows him the details of his donation, which can of course be edited.
